So behind the camera I am Tonya Shockley; Wife of Pastor Bobby Shockley, Mommy of 2 and all the things that go with that! Not only am I the errand runner, maid, "chef", and laundromat I am also the teacher for the Women's Ministry at The Cross Roads of Pea Ridge where my husband Pastors. God saved me and changed my life when I was 16 and I have given my life to serving Him since. I was truly blessed 3 years ago to marry a great man of God who I am immensly proud of! We primarily work in the Pea Ridge area, trying to minister to the community there. We have both also worked overseas on the mission field. I have worked in Haiti for over 10 years and my husband has worked in Haiti as well as India this last year. I have been studying and working in photography since I was 16 but just started truly working in the business and challenging myself these last two years. I worked in a partnership this last year, Story Tellers Photography, but am now venturing out solo to primarily pursue family/children's photography.
Being a mommy has increased my love of photography! Not only have my skills in photography been challenged through being a mom (they cooperate less when they are your own) I have also developed my pricing and deals around what I as a mom would want. No one wants to go bankrupt for potraits but no mom wants to skip capturing those moments because the budget is too tight. While my prices have gone up over the last two years I now offer much higher quality and much more experience. But my goal is still to offer that high quality at affordable pricing. Discs with print release will always be included in my pricing, the idea of having to pay extra to actually be able to print the pictures you already paid for is ridiculous to me.
